GENERAL FORMAT

Weekend One | u13-u18

  • Play-In Round seeded teams will participate in a round-robin format by individual age group. Teams in each age group will be seeded into this round based on previous year's qualifications and projected current year strength. The round robin format will take place over two days. Based on finish teams will advance to either the Premier or Power divisions on the 2nd weekend of play.

  • The u16-u18 Challenge Round qualified teams begin play. To be a qualified team your team must have been an OPEN qualified team the previous season. Teams will participate in a round-robin format with all teams advancing to the Power Division. Teams will qualify based on previous year's qualifications and current year projected strength.

  • There will not be a Challenge Round for the u14-u15 Power Division this season. The Gateway League will investigate the benefit of adding this round for future years.

  • Premier Division Seeding Round begins play. Format will be dependent on overall registered numbers of teams, with 4-Team Pools the goal.

  • Match Guarantee

    • Challenge Round = 3 matches over 1-day of play

    • Play-In Round = 6 matches over 2-days of play

    • Seeding Round = 6 matches guaranteed over 2-days of play

 

Weekend Two | u13-u18

  • Power Division begins play.

    • 24 teams = u16-u18 

    • 12 teams = u14-u15

  • Premier Division continues play with an expanded field. This is the first of two championship round weekends for the Premier Division. Additionally, Premier Division teams will have the opportunity to advance to the Power Division Championship based on their finish.

    • Day 1 = Pool Play Format

    • Day 2 = Bracket Play Format

  • 5 matches guaranteed over 2-days of play for all divisions

 

Weekend Three | u13-u18

  • Power Division championship begins on Saturday with power pools

    • 28 teams = u16-u18 (4 teams move up from Power and Premier Divisions)

    • 16 teams = u14-u15 (4 teams move up from Premier Divisions)

  • Power Division championship concludes with bracket play on Sunday, two match minimum.

  • Premier Division Inter-Age group championship begins with pool play on Saturday.

  • Premier Division Inter-Age group championship concludes on Sunday with bracket play, two match minimum.

  • 5 matches guaranteed over 2-days of play for all divisions

 

Weekend One and Two | u11 & u12

  • There is not a Power Division for these age groups.

  • Teams will play the first two weekends within their age group.

  • The #1 ranked teams after two weekends will move up an age group for the last weekend of play, u12 & u13 respectively

  • 8 matches guaranteed over 4-days of play

  • Please Note: The #1 ranked team after Weekend Two of the u12 Premier Division will move up to the u13 Premier Division for the last weekend of play. Please keep in mind if this occurs for your team that weekend will be Feb. 10th and 11th.

 

Weekend Three | u11 & u12

  • The u11s and u12s will begin and complete the championship round.

  • 4 matches guaranteed over 2-days of play.

  • Please Note: The #1 ranked team after Weekend Two of the u12 Premier Division will move up to the u13 Premier Division for the last weekend of play on Feb. 10th & 11th. Please keep in mind if this occurs for your team, your team will NOT participate in the 3rd weekend of the u12s.

 

Advancement of teams to Power Division u16-u18

  • u18 - 6 from play-in round, 2 Challenge = 8 teams

  • u17 - 6 from the play in round, 1 Challenge = 7 teams

  • u16 - 6 from the play in round, 1 Open = 7 teams

  • u15 - 2 from the play in round = 2 teams

 

Advancement of teams to Power Division u14-u15

  • u15 -6 teams from the play in round

  • u14- 5 teams from the play in round

  • u13- 1 team from the play in round

 

Gateway League Entry Fee:  

  • u11 & u12 - $600 (Paid Officials) & 12 Match Guarantee

  • u13 - u18 - $675 (Paid Officials) & 14 Match Guarantee

of teams entered into the Gateway League, and based on current year projected strength.
